What? You’ve never been to the awesome Camden Town Brewery? Shame on you – it’s only a 20-minute hop on the overground to Gospel Oak then a ten minute stroll (or just go direct from Stratford to Kentish Town West). And, if you fear that you’ll be battling tourists (or goths), think again: the brewery is hidden down a cobbled mews in Kentish Town and wildly popular with proper locals.

Anyway, for the moment you don’t need to trek there as the beardy Camden Brewery boys are riding the Ginger Line themselves over east to Bottle Apostle in E20 this very Friday. The entire range (including lashings of the highly addictive Hells lager) will be cracked open to taste on the day plus a few special extras, including the latest brew, Camden Versus Stone & Wood. Runs from 6-8pm at East Village. Free. More details here

SHOP: Bushwood Yard Sale

Yard Sale
Who doesn’t have a soft spot for Bushwood, the lovely posh-ish part of E11 which feels like you’ve stepped into a country village (a bit). We certainly could linger in the nearby North Star every afternoon (as many a local indeed does). Anyway, Sunday is a good chance to wander and peruse this leafier part of the neighbourhood with an almighty jumble sale opening up across many of the houses’ front gardens. There are currently 14 in total taking part – join up here on Twitter @E11YardSale

Fancy leaning how to stitch, glaze, print or carve? Make E11 is a new arts and crafts workshop kicking off this Tuesday 15th September at one of our very favourite hangs in the postcode. You can either just turn up and do your own thing – or be guided by the four experts (including letterpress artist Russell Frost, who we interviewed here) into creating something (even) better. Of course it’s a highly sociable affair so you can meet other locals too with a creative penchant. And the bar is licensed, should you need a little lubrication first. Runs 7-930pm, Tuesday 15th September, at 877 High Road E11. Follow them on @Make_E11
