Local gourmet blokey Nick Atkins is flinging open his front door and transforming his E11 home into a Colombian restaurant for one night only.
Leytonstone newcomer Nick – owner of The Elmore Jam supper club – has sourced a top Colombian chef who will serve a four course feast in his dining room whilst a live jazz trio plays.
At previous events, formerly held in Hackney, Nick’s guests have, we hear, been wowed by the quality of the food, sociable atmosphere and music as well as his swathes of music biz memorabilia (Nick has toured with the likes of Culture Club, Simply Red, Prince and Tony Bennett to mention but a few).
The event will take place this Saturday October 21st, from 7pm when Beatriz Maldonado Carreno, an experienced chef who ran her own successful restaurant in Bogotá, will no doubt delight guests with a unique menu using seasonal ingredients with a Latin American twist.

“It might seem strange to throw the doors of your home open to strangers,” says Nick, “but we’ve done a fair few of these events now and they are always lively, sociable and great fun with a great mix of people.
“We always strive to make our Elmore Jam supper club events as entertaining as possible so guests can expect a negroni on arrival, and a jazz trio playing the night away, as we pass round the canapés and introduce everyone to each other.”
And you never know, you might end up sitting next to Boy George.
