Ensure all the spots you love in Leyton, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Stratford and beyond are recognised in Harden’s 2019 guide

e were recently approached by the foodie guide people Hardens, who wanted us to promote their big diner survey, now in its 28th year.

Normally, we don’t have the time or inclination to publicise such things (and we get asked to a hellava lot). However, looking at the list of places currently featured in the guide for this wider area, we saw some glaring omissions.

Newcomers, however good, and also the less obvious local joints, don’t register with the current mass reader-generated format (over 5000 people), which inevitably favours long-established places and the big names.

So we thought you passionate foodie readers might be able to help redress this, and shine a more realistic detail on east London’s excellent neighbourhood dining scene, simply by filling in the online form.

Harden’s schtick is that anyone adding at least five reviews gets a free copy of the book Harden’s UK Restaurants 2019 upon its publication later this year, and also is entered into a prize draw to win a break for two, staying at Bray’s Gallic gastronomy hotspot, The Waterside Inn.

So if you’ve been delighted by a Leytonstone dinner, blown away by brunch in Wathamstow or wish to proselytise about pudding in Stratford, you have until April 20th to let the wider world know via filling in the survey here.

We’d love to see the area’s many excellent restaurants, of all levels, get the increased profile and recognition they deserve, joining 2,800 places currently listed in Harden’s annual guide. Let’s see what Leytonstoner readers can do.

Harden’s readers survey runs until April 20th. Fill in in here.
