And now for some good news: as well as its indoor drinking and dining spaces reopening next week, the Heathcote and Star are also officially launching their brand new function room and event space upstairs. Regard those beautiful leaded Edwardian windows! The high ceilings! You’ll even be able to have a peek at it if you ask the bar staff nicely.
“This project has taken over six months of refurbishment and has its own separate entrance from the main pub, its own bar, and own toilets,” says owner Rob Star.
And it’s a whopper. Suitable for 200 standing, or 120 seated, it’s the perfect Leytonstone venue for weddings, birthday parties and large celebrations. During the week it’s also the ideal destination for co-working, corporate meetings and, if you’re looking for a space to host your next dance class or knitting circle – well, look no further.
Obviously the pub is known too for its sports, and fans have plenty to look forward to this summer. The Heathcote and Star will be hosting all major events including the Champions League final and the Euros in the new function room – you can check the full listings and book your seat via the website.
