Heathcote & Star: enjoy a free £10 voucher to spend at the bar

Download the app before the end of the month and get a fabulous tenner credit

Now this is the kind of local deal we can all get behind. This month the generous peeps at Leytonstone’s landmark boozer The Heathcote & Star are giving everyone a free drink (or two) on the house.

Why? Because it’s summertime. And it’s just so incredibly hot right now we could all use a little ice-cold refreshment in a leafy beer garden. Ours is an Aperol Spritz, by the way.

You might have already seen the £10 voucher offer on one of the lovely glossy printed brochures that are currently being posted through the doors of 10,000 homes closest to the Heathcote. They’re a useful 20-page comprehensive guide to everything the pub has to offer residents, from full food and drink menus to the many spaces to hire (complete with handy diagrams and room sizes.).

If you haven’t received a physical copy, don’t fret: simply put the kettle on and follow this link to read the brochure online here. On the first page you’ll immediately see the QR code to download the app and add the voucher code to get your £10 credit (tip: once you’ve downloaded the app, select ‘voucher’ in the drop-down menu top left on your smartphone screen; add the code HCLOCAL here).  And no, you don’t have to live locally to claim the freebie, either.

Not swung by for a while? There’s a lot going on, including two function rooms, a games room and a delightful beer garden, with Thai food maestros Krapow in the kitchen, whose menu is strongly influenced by Northern Thailand as well as Laos, Myanmar and China.  Oh and did we mention it’s totally dog friendly, too?
