Where? A long, thin canteen on the bucolic strip they call Victory Parade, surprisingly leafy and a real tonic after the zombie-sale madness of Westfield. This one is the newish east London branch after the flagship in – where else? – Crouch End.
What? A juice bar complete with smoothies, salads, cwaffee and healthy wraps. Yep, we’re talking veganuary. Also, on our visit, it seemed to be a hangout for the chin-stroking laptop brigade – not to mention a robust showing for the local yummy mummy mafia.
Why? A very healthy plate of choose-yer-own mixed salads at just £6.50. You get at least five portions, including crunchy red cabbage and lots of brown rice. And regard the curls of spiralized carrot! Although we have to admit we found the stewed veg – courgettes, green beans, potatoes and yep, more carrot – a little uninspiringly mushy, to be honest (vitamins, we repeated to ourselves: vitamins!). But nonetheless, it’s filling fare.
Notes: The owner and his member of staff were both extremely friendly. And they fussed over a small child like he was their own.

Don’t: forget this is a good strip for both eating and drinking, from Tina’s to Darkhorse. Plus there’s a new branch of Ted’s Veg if you’re still feeling lacking in V’s after you’ve eaten. And better still, the lovely Olympic Park is seconds away to walk if all off.
